The prices I was quoted in Peru are roughly this, $12 hour labor, material cost, engineering cost, 10K launching cost, plus 30% of total cost for overhead.  No charge for the facilities, but he expects his workers (mostly) to be building the boat and does not like epoxy.  An important note is that Peru has a 14% tax on parts and materials.


I have run the numbers and Peru is reasonable if they just crank out the shells/modules/components and then the buyer installs everything else later. Otherwise, the tax and the 30% adds a considerable premium to the cost.
