  That seems like a really big set of items that could go wrong in a storm after being exposed to salt and stress for a few years.

  The pivot would add cost, complexity, and weight, and since the system would need to be able to support flying a hull while pivoted to its extreme -- the same stress as a normal beam -- I'm not sure this would save anything.

  I'd feel more comfortable with everything fastened into place.

On the HP I was thinking more on the lines of pivoting the aka both directions, laterally to reduce strain on the structure and make the ride smoother and axially with a shaped hull for turning.


Probably way too complex and costly, but the Antrim design actually did it.  I should probably email him and ask : )
