Very nice. All the details are thought out, and the newest
tender/outboard rendering looks quite workable.
The lee berths, master berths, heads, lockers, and steps are
great, as is the huge saloon and cockpit. That boat is either Party
Central, with huge amounts of living and table space, or a
lightweight super-performance cruiser, all depending upon how many
people you load up on it and whether or not tables and cushions are
in place.
I'm not sure I can show this to my wife. She's extremely tolerant
of boat choices, she's happy with our open deck catamaran, and she
quite likes the Ex 40. But if she saw this boat, I might catch her
trying to figure out how to pay for $4k of yard storage each winter
and then convince me that I don't need a lightweight low-windage
multihull with a tiller for fun daysailing.
The only things I'd change would be:
1. A rendering showing a second set of cushions and table at
the other end of the cockpit (this rendering showing them stowed).
2. A way to steer while sitting back and lounging.
3. A magic switch that removes a ton of weight and allows the
boat to be folded, moved on a trailer, and transported in a
container.
Of course, the Exhilarator 40 provides items 2 and 3, and item 1
is a non-issue.
I'm not sure how I'd implement item 2 on the Cruiser 50, though.
It's important to be able to stand and see, particularly in close
quarters, but it's also very nice to be able to sit back and relax
with one hand on a tiller or wheel.
