A couple more ideas regarding the dinghy:

- Bill Gibbs experimented with pusher dinghy for his Afterburner racing cat. 175 hp Suzuki was the final solution I think. Search the old MHML archives to learn from what he did. See for example: http://steamradio.com/pipermail/multihulls/2009-April/031927.html 

- Could the outboard consol be detachable (right word for non native english speaker?) so that you can keep the cables connected and still move it from dinghy to the steering consol of the Cruiser? Just an idea, no details thought out.
