Sorry Talador,

I thought you might be Dan Hampton, a former F-16 guy who wrote a real kick ass book and lives on a boat in the Caribbean.  I thought maybe you were staying low to keep from getting mobbed by adoring fans.  I do remember as a Safety Investigator in the Air Force hearing about how after the Lockheed C-5 crash at Ramstein AFB the AF brought in the retired engineer who designed the C-5 thrust reversers to figure out why they came unlocked in flight on that crash.  Would that be your father in law?  The cause as I recall was related to AF maintenance issues, not the actual design.

Thanks,

Jerry Barth

No my father in law was a Lockheed engineer, and I am on the oldish side.

About Vipers, Love em, I know a number of Viper drivers and one of the test pilots. I probably know people who know you. Sadly I need to keep a low profile, for a variety of reasons, nothing important I certainly am not, mostly just stupidity on my part.

My connection to the Military stuff is tangental mostly through TI and a couple of their projects, I was an electronics guy back in the day and floated around.

Mostly I was in the experimental aircraft and Reno air race scene as a hobby.

Now I am trying to figure out how to build the most badass live aboard boat I can. Nothing else left to do with my life...

Talador
