so what you are saying is 50% upwind wing and 100% downwind
obviously cant be done without a supplement sail or moving geometry
and where the stayless rig pretty much forbades supplement sails

so what if the wing; opens like a clamshell
structurally it means the wing halves have to be self supporting
and a linear jackscrew opens and closes the clam
