   I’ve done research on this in the past for a camper I was thinking of putting on my land in St Thomas while building my small house. I believe the Honda 2000 can’t quite handle the startup loads.  I think the result was you have to go with the 3000.  Research the RV forums,

That one puts out 9000 BTU's of cooling and only uses 1300 watts (11 amps at 110V) as an example. Can Heat too.

 

The Honda 2000 will handle it fine and power it for 4 to 8 hours (a gallon) depending on the cycle time. Watch TV, pop popcorn in the microwave between cycles, charge the batteries, etc.

 

Remember insulating the room or area is important to lower the cycle time.  Hmm fiberglass over foam, anyone?

 

The biggest benefit aside from a great nights sleep is that it can dehumidify everything.  My wife hates ME whenever she finds mold anywhere. :(
