probably shouldnt negate use of electric outboards which can be configured to charge back
after all this is the saving grace of hybrid cars such as Prius, which are able to recover energy while braking

if you need outboards anyway, it lessens the gravity of the costs

the problem as I see it, is in acquiring a master controller to make use of all these electric inputs and outputs
