I was wondering if any of the experts here have an informed opinion of this "Vortex Bladless" wind generator. It sounds a bit off the wall, but who am I to tell? Here is a link to their crowdfunding page:
One interesting thing is that their initial version is a small one which might be of a size, weight and cost to try out on a boat:

Weight: 22 lbs (10 kg)
Power: 100w
Price (guesstimate): $250
100w isn't much, but it is cheap, and could run 24hrs/day.
