I like the design. Especially the "top boom". I assume it's used to control twist. You can see on some of the images that the top boom is at an angle to the boat. The top boom and mast probably rotate together. My guess is there's a control which locks the angle of the mast (and top boom) in relation to the bottom boom. Which would lock the twist in the sail.

Generally looks like a great concept, but I'm not sure that their claims are true. I don't see why it would get 20% higher lift compared to a normal sail. If it is true, I would think it's thanks to the robust twist control. Maybe soft sails twist too much, which limits their lift coefficient.

The video is from 2013, and there are no videos of it in a strong breeze. This makes me a bit sceptic to it's performance. If it's such a good sail, it should have seen more use. At least more recent videos. I can see one possible problem. The sail may deform in a strong breeze, and possibly only hold its shape around the "profile shapers" / battens. So that might be a reason there hasn't been any news in two years.

Their site mentions Omer wing sails. There are some videos of Omer wing sails on Youtube as well, which I've seen before. I guess they have a partnership, where Omer has the patent, and Onesail the manufacturing skills and equipment.

We had a discussion going about Wing Sails but it is over several threads
I thought it might be worthwhile to run a thread that nails in efficiency gains

One Sail are saying '20% smaller area for same performance'
but it is perhaps less sophisticated than where we left discussions last
But it has to be said it has some nice features too
It can be reefed
Camber can be changed
Nicely balanced around the mast enabling retrofit applications more easily
