Believe me, I don't either. But it is those 2% of the time conditions that will get you killed or sink or damage your boat. . .
The only way to avoid those situations is to permanently ground your boat. . . And then it is more cost effective to just tie in to the grid.
I am not against solar and wind power. If it becomes viable in 10 to 20 years, that would be wonderful. I love doing things better and more efficiently. I hate scams though.
