10 to 12 knots is a good turn of speed, thats a Lagoon 44 in a hurricane
not sure about 40F masts because the arent on a tabernacle, theyre mounted deep into the hull. Although I think reduced sail is possible as it has a lot of sail area to weight. Something in the order of 15 lbs sq ft?
when you say large, how large is this solar panel? Easy to envisage 8 sq m without much effort
