I have five questions:

1. What is the maximum righting moment using the as-built weight and with crew?
Beam overall is 7.5m/25', weights as well as i know them at this stage:
The windward hull is built and painted.  Weighs 80 kgs/176 lbs on my bathroom scales.  It's a bit rough as I am not allowed to make dust, but from 3m/10' or so it looks fine.  The 2 halves of the lee hull are out of the mould, have the bulkheads fitted and weigh 80 kgs each.  Maybe another 20 kgs/44 lbs for mast and boom sleeves, foam bows, the centreline join, paint and antifoul.  The beams are scheduled to weigh 25 kgs/55 lbs each and as they are filament wound, this will be accurate. Ditto the mast at 60kgs/132 lbs.   Based on the laminate and previous jobs, the rudders will weigh about 15 kgs/33 lbs each. The rudder mountings on the beams have been through a few iterations, but are now simple and should weigh about 10 kgs/22 lbs each.  Windsurfer masts for tiller extensions add another 10. Tramp, sail, battens, boom, winch, running rigging another 60 kgs/132 lbs.  So, ~500 kgs/1,100 lbs for the sailing weight.

Crew for the speed trials will probably be just me (80 kgs), perhaps with Katy  (40 kgs) to take photos.  I will have a 15 kg anchor and warp, a sculling oar, and a few kgs of safety gear on board, all in the ww hull.
So rm is about 7m x (80hull+80me+25half the beams+35anchor and safety) = 1,540 kgm/11,200 foot pounds.   However, the beams and mast are designed for 500 kgs in the windward hull, so if required, we can add water or crew to increase the rm.  This will be one of the (many) things we experiment with.

2.  What is the beam of the lw hull?
400mm/16" 60mm/2.5" above the keel line

3. What is the height of the lw hull?
1m/40"

4.  What rudder section are you using?
NACA 1200

5.  What is rudder dimensions; chord and depth of immersion?
chord 300mm/12", depth 1.2m/4', with the option of increasing this to 1.5m/5',

It will be fascinating to see how close the actual gets to the theory..

HOW FAST WILL BUCKET LIST SAIL?  Guess the answer and win the prototype for a day.

After any teething troubles are sorted out, Bucket List will be sailed upwind and reaching.  The gps recordings will be shown on http://harryproa.com/?page_id=1620
Upwind:  It will be sailed upwind for 5 minutes, shunted, then upwind on the other board for 5 minutes.  What will be the distance between the start and finish points?    Answer  in nautical miles to two decimal places.
Reaching:  It will be sailed on the fastest point of sail.  What will be the max instantaneous speed?  Answer in knots to one decimal place.

The location will be the stretch of open ocean south of the Seaway, Gold Coast, Australia.  5 speed runs will be performed at varying windspeeds, at least one of them will be with the wind at The Spit weather station (http://www.seabreeze.com.au/graphs/qld4.asp) reading over 20 knots.

The prize is a days sailing (racing, cruising or just hooning around) on the prototype which would normally cost $AUS500.  You can use it,  sell it or donate it to charity.    The prize can be claimed on the Gold Coast or where ever the boat travels.

The winner will be the person who gets closest to the upwind distance.  In the event of a draw, the top speed will be used as a tie break.  If more than one entry gets them both right, they will both/all get a free day.
