Hi Rob,

How're you going?

Still in the place near the water/canals in Queensland?

Getting any boat (maybe Elementarry) out sailing?

Going well, still on the canals.  Put a foil and kite on El which was a lot of fun, now trying to get Bucket list finished.  Just put some fittings on the mast and made a cradle to test the beams.  It has changed a fair bit from the original, but should be more interesting to sail.

I have had no boat or sailing for a few years now and so not really feeling like inputting to forum, but have internet and time now so felt like contributing a little.

Glad you did.

As I say (and probably speaks for a fair few others out there), still interested in more building/sailing.

May as well plan ahead. I feel my other efforts on building Sidecar were rushed or stressed. Too many errors.

Example of mistake is sometimes not following plans closer.

Didn't necessarily fully understand what plans meant.

Steinar is now drawing them and they are a lot more detailed.  Plus Intelligent Infusion is a big step forward in speed, cleanliness and work and cost reduction.

I like the idea of a light foam boat that we are now looking at, easy mold/fold etc.

Presumably if you had tighter budgets then it would be also easy to do the flat hull shaped with ply.

Rounding somehow at corners.

Could do.  Heavier, messier, more work but a little cheaper.
