Wow! Two people on the Harryproa list are paragliders as
well --- so am I, but luckily no injuries yet :-D. Still flying at age 73
plus a bucket list wish to sail to the South Pacific on a Harry
proa.

I too broke my leg paragliding. Was tough at times for sure. And then I
had a kid so decided taking up sailing would be a safer pursuit. Having a
harryproa built seemed like the logical choice in terms of best, easiest
and safest multihull design. That was four years ago, still chasing the
dream most days. Slow but sure. The design keeps getting better.
Any venture has moments of doubt. But those moments tend to pass on by,
leaving greater resolve and progress in their wake. On the other side of
the equation, those moments provide a brief window of opportunity for
those that don't hesitate long. That boat is built to last a lifetime.

feel for him. I'm a cripple myself now. Wheelchair
bound and able to hobble on crutches after I crashed my paraglider
shattering my left foot and doing my right knee. I hope he recovers
in the end. It must have been bad to give this up so close to
completion.
