Hi,

I'm catching back up on recent history. Seeing what I have missed, answering some relevant points.

Carlos, I also am usually heading as close to shore and finding the shallowest anchorage to walk ashore from.

I made sure the rudders on Sidecar (Elementarry Camper) would kick back on a bungee cord/occy strap.
Also it will sail with rudder angled back at like 45 degrees. This is for when you are coming in from the "passage" and are now finding your place to park, and it steered OK, since you would be just coming in slow it is good enough.

Regular sailing in more than 2m depth then just pull fully down.

May not scale up for bigger model, but if you are beaching then maybe you would motor anyway?

Doug
