I mean having a Solitarry sized accom. It seems to be smaller than the 40F's, but more than BL or Expeditionarry. Just enough for 1 permanent and 2 or 3 temporary crew.
Nothing fancy, water in bottles, single burner stove, etc.
Which ever way is easier to build. Guess the new intelligent infusion. Not bothered if side ledge to ww is included, but it does add a handy storage and cooking area. SInce you have to use the rest of the cabin space as a walkway, then it makes sense to have side space to use with access from the walkway.
That shape seems to have been effectively done with the infusion and then fold up. But could now go with the flat bottom, as per new designs.

I would guess a hatch in lw hull is good, since fairly large area, then may as well have access. Maybe dismantle and store a bicycle, boogie board?
So that would help for joining these 2  x 7.5m halves.

BTW, i though the windsurfer masts as tiller extensions was pretty cool too.

OK, so I guess that Sol ww hull was more substantial so thereby deeming the BL to be a shorter course racer.
Still they are both the most extreme Harrys. And that one that had just a swivel chair on top of a rudder, still in Photos?

yeah.  In the "possibly good ideas that never made it" file.

So seeing as I should make a choice from the current crop, then it would be a BL with Sol type accomod. Which is like still a Sol. but with latest style/techniques?

The windward hull would be simpler to build than the Sol ones already built.

I would then go with normal cruising:   Schooner sails. Rectangular cross beams. Just 6m not 8m overall beam. Outboard on hinge. Swing up rudders. Lengthened to 15m lw, but can I keep same cross section size (so not too skinny for strength?).

No problem.  Round beams are now easier to build than square ones.

Hopefully this would be relatively cheap, round Oz boat.

Should be.

Was wondering today:  for ease of build and transport, if you did the lw hull in 2 7.5m lengths that shouldn't be too hard to join permanently once at the boatyard/launching site.

Could do.  Much easier if the lee hull has an access hatch you can fit through.

Some logistics about transport, launching and mooring are not as easy with such long and wide boats. Especially mooring.

True.  Hence the 40'ters with the folding beams. http://harryproa.com/?page_id=1568  and http://harryproa.com/?page_id=1196  The system would also work on other harrys.

BTW, how do you add photos or videos within posts?
Is this called embedding?

Yes, hit the attach button, then select the file.

It would improve a lot of the plainness of following the explanations

And Rob, do you mean you put the beam under the car and levered it up, with a jack? You didn't break the brand new beam i hope!

Lifted the car with the beam.  No damage.  Assembled the mast today.  Top section has a little bit of play, which needs fixing, but otherwise very stiff.  Supported at the ends 16.5m apart and my 80 kgs in the middle, it deflected about 300mm.   Putting the tillers, extensions and carbon universal jonts together tomorrow.
