Glad to hear its all coming along Rob.  Dare I say it, but you might even make your "could/should be sailing by Feb" from the blog!!  Here's hoping you do.

Thanks.  Looking good at the moment.  Got the lee hull beam sleeves in and the windward hull tie downs ready to go.  Also started fitting the rudder sleeves to the beams, which is going to be a bit of a chore.  Will take some photos tomorrow.

What sort of weight did the weather, and lee hulls end up at (understanding your added 'wedge' likely made it heavier than it would have been if the half mould was to your original dimensions for the hull bottom!)?  With around 155kg for the beams, mast and rudders/tillers/mounts, cockpit, etc, plus the sail (I'm guessing in the 5 to 7kg range?), how is it all turning out relative to your estimated/calculated weight?

30 for the sail and battens is about right. The lee hull should weigh about 175 plus the extra bits and the stub mast (about 20).  It seems lighter, but we will weigh it when it can be unlevelled, (maybe Saturday) and let you know.   Ww hull is 75 on the bathroom scales.   I will be pretty happy if the total is ~500 kgs.  There is a fair bit that could be removed on the next one.  One of the joys of working with Steinar is that we can bounce ideas back and forth.   Based on this, and assuming everything on the prototype works, the next BL will be both simpler and lighter.  He also figured out how to launch it without using the 6m wide travel hoist, which was looking to be a bit of a challenge a challenge with a 7.5m boat.

How is the wishbone boom setup coming along? Any pictures?!!

Not yet.  The wishbone is built and will probably be used to start with, but the straight boom is lighter and easier to make, so I will be playing with it once everything else is working.

Really looking forward to seeing this out on the water; good luck with getting it 'splashed'!  and keep us updated with how it goes...

Will do and thanks for the encouragement.

Regards,

Scott
