Not sure what the main objective is here, if its performance I think it would hinge on max boat length you can manage to tow, launch and retrieve, in that way you would have speed rivaling towed tri's, otherwise what you get is a towable HP, not that this is in itself a bad alternative.

Rob's proven he can manage the width to a roadable 8ft, it is in folding the main hull where the work is. Lets put a number on it with a LW hull of 39ft, folding both ends to 23ft towed. Likewise a 23ft WW hull.

When you speak of gel coat glass finishes Im assuming you mean a FG production boat, and this is where it falls over. I just dont see the numbers to support the costs of factory build moulded FG construction. As a home built on the other hand It would run fine, perhaps not as good as Farriers original TrailerTri, but the cost justifications are quite different. A very complete set of plans with a manual of some sort, the occasional bits of hardware such as folding mechanisms if needed, this would be a success I think
