I took BL out a couple of hours before it struck, but spent the time playing with different bits and pieces.  Finally go it ready, but could see the dark clouds approaching fast, decided discretion was the better part of valour so came back in. Smart move.

Major flooding 20 minutes down and 60 minutes up the road, moderate rain for 24 hours here, max breeze about 35 knots.  We lead a pretty charmed existence in terms of floods, bushfires and animals that bite or sting.  Just went for a kite surf and the normally salty water is almost fresh, apart from all the mud and crud in it.  Breeze strong, turbulent and very gusty.  From sinking due to no power to out of control in seconds.  Lots of fun

25+ for the next few days, and a few more things to make on BL, looks good for Wednesday.
