Well I have to say, hat's off to Rob and Steinar; I'm loving the revised renderings of the C60!

Not only does it look great, it's also great to see some of the finer points being worked out; the overhead shot in particular has addressed a number of my own concerns I had with potential issues in storm conditions, namely:

-Numerous large scuppers placed around the 'cockpit' area (the dropped area around the wheel station out to the beams), to drain water quickly from this area if filled by large breaking waves.  This is also assisted by the rest of the deck area having been cleaned up and levelled with the tender slatted decking, which should mean quicker drain off with breaching waves.

-I like that the cabin ends now wrap around the outside of the beams, probably for ease of construction (with the intelligent infusion), but giving the added benefit of presenting a better angled surface (as opposed to the flat vertical beam front) to BIG waves high enough to catch the cabin bridge-deck clearance.  Plus the side effect bonus of a little more space inside the sleeping quarters (for small storage cubbies/shelves under the beams).

-The new main cabin window layout is now more suitable for adding external storm washboards/shutters to protect the glazed areas from BIG waves.  A common problem with modern multi's (and one that I'm admittedly paranoid about after having had portlights smashed in while riding out a storm for a couple of 'entertaining' hours; nothing sharpens your senses more in a storm than the amount of water that can find its way in through even the smallest of smashed portlights!) are the large expanses of glazing to give the excellent views most of us like in normal conditions.  The new rendering shows both the smaller sections of flat windows (meaning easier fitting of flat storm washboards/shutters), and the window framing which could easily have vertical channels bolted to the outside (between each window), to allow the storm shutters to be slotted down into the channels quickly and easily.

-The deck over the WW hull (above the beds) is back to being flat (without the step at the hull/cabin interface), in a similar fashion to the old Visionarry's, making walking access over the top of the cabin when moored WW hull to, an easier/safer deal.

-The cleaned up deck presents far fewer 'snagging' points for the outer mainsheets.

-I like the detail of the vents for the galley/stovetop, and the vertical hanging lockers under the beam ends in the cabins.

I'm loving that easier build (flat panel/intelligent infusion), can also mean better boat with careful planning.

Nice job guys.

Scott
