Rob,

I did get the gin pole to work on Sidecar. It was quite an effort though.
It was not something I wanted to do if it could be avoided.

There was the fairly big and heavy ballestron attached too which made it more awkward.

I raised it here in Fremantle harbour. Had just come out of the Swan River. Was a bit sketchy.

If it was going to be easier this other way, then it would make quite an improvement. 
No more restrictions in going up river or taking the shortcuts that have bridges across them.
