Found the 2002 article on harrigami on Duckworks.  https://www.duckworksmagazine.com/02/reports/2002/02/reports.htm   about half way down.  A trip down memory lane.  Amazing how things change, and how they stay the same.

To be honest, i don't remember the mast raising (or the problems mentioned in the article), but I am pretty sure it was the same as we planned for Bucket List.  Put the beams in the lee hull, tip it on it's side and put the mast in, then right it and add the ww hull.

The folding was simple.  Carbon tow and stainless steel pins for the hinges and a doubler to lock it in place.  These days, we might use carbon for the pins, but otherwise the same.  The 3 hinges are more work than I like, but if folding and motoring or leaving it in a marina, there is not much choice.

Side by side telescoping is easier to build, less prone to jammimg than inside/outside telescoping or folding but looks ordinary.  ,

As always, the devil is in the detail.  Once it is set up properly, traillering and assembly are pretty easy, although a 40'ter on a trailer is no fun in suburban streets.

I couldn't find photos in group or website. Googled it and found in Duckworks.
Picture there is about what I was hoping to be able to do with folding.
Fits well in against the ww hull. Could then slot in masts from standing on beach.

Rob, if you can remember, how complicated was the folding?
Strong enough?
Easy to set up and trail?

Thanks

Doug
