You are interpreting wise words of caution, based on knowledge, testing and experience, as negative comments.


Essentially you are saying the readily available insulating grade of XPS (30 to 50kg/Cu.m) is not suitable for hull panels exposed to water.  So you are agreeing with what has already been stated.

I have never stated that XPS is unsuitable for use in a boat.  On the contrary, it is a useful bulk filler and stiffener where the surface is no exposed to impact.
