​A couple were pushed pretty hard and capsized, but they were mostly (entirely?) the Mk 1's which were lighter and raced.  I doubt the board deployment would have made much difference..  Once you flew a hull, you were on the edge.  The mast head floats were/are horrible.  A lot of weight in the worst place and when the boat did capsize, the righting had to be quick or something would break.  Commanche was aimed at the cruising crowd, was quite a breakthrough at the time. ​

If Im right a few Iroquois went over
I forget the exact reasons why but it was something to do with which drop keel was deployed
Its also possible the factory or designer (
Sailcraft / McAlpine-Downey) were the ones that organised mast head floats still seen in some photos

their later adventure the Comanche 32 was a far nicer boat IMO
