There are plenty of free forum packages that Rob can install on the harryproa.com host. That puts Rob in charge of what happens with the messages/data.

While I see the attraction of handing the group over to some other service, IMHO, that always ends up like yahoo groups are now. A problem with your data and group that you cannot control or fix.

The costs for hosting a forum are some (small) money, but mostly they are time from people, generally domain interested volunteers.

The reason why these groups are offered free in many places is because the costs are very small, and mostly stay the same as you scale.
