Ive been reading about a resin producer named 'Entropy'
Theyve been acquired by WEST Systems, and are said to have far less toxic pine oil based epoxy resins. This makes them more sustainable, regenerable. Then I read about these guys making surfboards using foam blanks made from sugar beet oil instead of polyurethane, and hemp instead of glass (not that glass isnt recoverable)

Its starting to seem like the sum of the parts can indeed be environmentally stable on a lesser carbon footprint, but it does depend on some of the choices you make.
