Most folks are not very observant, or open minded enough to take the time to observe the distinctive and unique configuration of the HP, or the genius of it.   I doubt very many people even recognize the difference between a Pacific and an  Atlantic Proa, and if they do, they are too busy trying to decide which the HP is.......... really neither classification fits.   In the end  however it's dismissed as just a proa, and proas flip over too easily to be useful as cruising boats...  And that's about as far as the examination goes.  People are simple minded..... or more accurate "intellectually lazy", and it's easier to fit something into a pigeon hole and move on than to really look at it with an open and inquiring mind.   We see this in other areas, such as politics and religion, etc.   I could sit here and rattle off dozens of such prejudices people have that have as little or less basis in reality.......
The genius of of Rob's design solutions are lost in this.   Look how many years it took cruising multihulls to start gaining ground from the days of Woody Brown and Manu Kai (1954).    I think Rob is in the right place..... From the land of Oz the prime tropical cruising grounds extend northward in a vast arc.  The cruising grounds where the largely open deck design has the most appeal, lounging on the wonderfully spacious open deck while traveling across tropical waters.  Hanging out and snorkeling on some tropical reef system.  It's made for that kind of living, access to the sea in almost every direction with comfortable airy accommodations.

Chris,

Is that a baseball analogy or a more proper cricket one?
I think you mentioned Gold Coast so obviously cricket.

There must be one of the critical mass type levels that gets reached where from then on the ball keeps rolling?
I don't really see the concept and idea really ever disappearing. Even if not called a Harryproa. It's been invented, by Rob and made public so, it cant6help but improve in popularity. How fast though is a good question.

I guess i would not normally have been too worried about proving something about it to other people, but some of the nay-sayers do make one more eager to make it work and show off somewhat.
It's only natural to promote your own choice in something, but especially so when you are getting crticized in public forums and such.
