I don't know exactly hiw the dinghy drop down system works but report from Robin Warde said that it workedvwell.
The wrong tack should be no problem for motoring only sailing is not a good idea if windy, though if you had to then could always reef way down to do it.
As mentioned recently weight distribution might be 60% ww hull and 40% lw hull. So that is fairly stable platform to have. You could weather cock thd masts into the breeze or even shift moveable weight to lw hull.

For a very small HP you might have a outboard that turns 180 deg. But then you lose the protection from waves when going backwards.
