I'm building a little catamaran dinghy in Texas. Started looking today for a local supplier of Core Cell or Divynylcell core. The internet stores are kind of expensive for the small quantities I need when you add in shipping. Turns out our industrial park is home to like 10 companies building small fishing boats, but not a single one doing infusion or anything modern, but the local supplier does have all sorts of resins, gelcoats, etc.
He showed me some core material he had. Nidacore (too heavy), some PVC core by Poly U Mac, and this stuff which I'd never seen:

Same company also makes PVC core as well. The price for the PE foam seems fairly low to me compared to Core Cell, a 10mm 4x8 foot sheet about $70.
Please take a look and see what you guys think, might be a good alternative to the PVC cores.
Thanks,
Jerry Barth
