<<Are there any sailors that would like to compare and contrast being in a HP to Woods account in a cat, for the purpose of understanding safety in a HP?  Can that be done, respectfully?>>

Erutan, see post 10213 for a long comparison of a harryproa to a cruising cat.

It's not about Woods or any other designer, just about the design choices made in harryproas that would have prevented the problems that resulted in a rescue at sea.

If you care about safety, there's a /lot/ to be said about an unstayed schooner una rig to leeward with kick-up rudders.  Also if you care about speed and cost, but no need to repeat everything here.
