I find Rob open to anything. He is the teenager on spring break of boat designers.
If you like gelcoat, he is gonna show you how to get a great shine on your boat. I don't see any reason why II cannot be used with gelcoat.

That said, peelply and house paint is more my ascetic. And Rob is down with that too. Well, I have that backwards. He preached about the ascetic, and I converted.

Remember this was about a cheap ass fix for mold release. Like literally everyone will buy wax. Some few will use Robs super cheap plastic mold release. Perhaps we can now add Vaseline as an even cheaper than super cheap option.

Yes. And lighter. Pulled peelply leaves a lighter composite and house paint is cheaper and lighter than gelcoat. And, as Rob says, you cannot tell the difference 10' away With Rob it is always about lighter. And cheaper. And faster.
