Hi bjorn,

Ad a practice in a shunt, i always followed the procedure of sheeting on the front sail first (sailing solo), which got the boat moving under way and with steerage. Then you could sheet in aft sail. If done other way round then may not get enough speed/way before has pointed into the wind.
Maybe flat bottomef hulls would bite more in the water and not round up so quicklg as tje round bilge that i had.

Reefing was no problems. Easy to luff up, drift sedways and put in reefs. Yes, took a little time (like 5 minutes), but no stress, no flappind sails or boat sailing off.

Usually put in same ref, like first reef, on both sails at same time, so both sails are reefed.
Could do just one sail reefed with other sail not yet reefed but for that good balance you want to lower aft sail area first making fore sail have the bigger area.

Doug, it makes sense that it sailed
well on the front sail only, because that would put the CoE
almost central. But with the aft sail, CoE might be at or
behind the aft rudder, which would make her tend to round
up. Also, the inertia and drag of the WW hull should enhance
that tendency.
If the
wind is too strong for one sail, I imagine that it would be
a lot of work to hoist/reef at every shunt though.

May or may not be exactly

Could be by boat was lacking in

Never seemed to be an issue,
mostly just laziness
