Agree that cambered foils are the bomb and most efficient at lift. 
" tight reaching at less than 8kts the trailing rudder is cranked on close to stall. That reduces leeway to very little.  The front rudder operates around the in-line position to hold course."

At this attitude, is it necessary to have the front board down at all?
Assuming there is enough lift from the back board or is the back board too small due to practical limitations.
