Yeah, i recall that you said II was interesting and would save weight.

But it would need lots of new design calcs and plans if original plans are wood.

I would stick to the ply or change designer and plans for a foam boat.

But you are happy to have heavy workshop tools, fit-out, so that jars against this idea of II saving weight.

I think you may need to decide on one or the other.

I proper workboat could be like one of these expedition boats you see, 100ft and of steel or aluminium with research and diving gear.

Yacht sailing is adventurous but isn't going to be much of a heavy industry job.

Perhaps try being an international spy.
Or normal tourist.
