Headroom is from the footwell. The soft walls are canvas type material with windows. All sorts of possibilities with zips,etc. It runs in a track on the two pieces which keeps it waterproof. It is strong enough to walk on.

If the pod was launched and floated like a raft, it would expand the accommodation space. Maybe make another one without the footwell, carry them stacked then launch when at a quiet mooring. Instant second cabin doubling as a tender raft.
