I want to introduce myself to everybody - I bought the C50 plans from Rob (just got the preliminary drawings last week).  I've cleared out my workshop and am setting up a small infusion table (big enough for a tender, not big enough for the C50 hulls!) so I can start experimenting with Intelligent Infusion.  I've got all of the equipment & supplies (and way too many tools); hopefully will be infusing my first samples in a week or two.

My preference is to find a small custom boatbuilder to do the hulls + beams + masts (ideally to a sailing shell), and finish the rest myself.  I won't have the time to tackle the major construction work for at least a year, and I'd like to get a head start on that so I can tackle the part I really enjoy!

I've talked with Rob about doing an Intelligent Infusion workshop at my house in Maryland (on the water on the Eastern Shore, about an hour from Annapolis) in October.  Hopefully more details on that in a month or two, when Rob & Steinar find out if they'll be in the USA this fall.

I'd love to talk to anybody else who is considering a C50 or C60; perhaps we can combine our efforts & purchases.

A few thoughts on the preliminary C50 plans - I'm amazed at the elegance and simplicity of the design.  You have to be really, really good to make something like this simple; Rob and Steinar have done an amazing job.  I've been poring over the drawings for days and haven't found anything to criticize.  (Like everyone else, I'm still waiting to see the new rudder concept.)  And I waffle between rotating & fixed masts every day.
