Hi All,
I am currently building a 26ft racing Proa prototype and have developed a tortured infused panel method using Innegra cloth and corecell foam core..
I see it as a combination of Rob's intelligent infusion and Kurt Hughes Cylinder Molding with the engineering of Lindsay Lord's method that is described in Dave Gerr's 'The elements of Bot strength'.
I did some very basic testing and found the infused foam/Innegra panel to be more flexible than plywood and stronger when a load was applied to a cantilevered offcut of the same size.
I will admit that I am not particularly scientific about these things so I'm sure someone will find some glaring faults in my methods!
I have a few videos on youtube if you are interested in seeing more about it.
I have learnt a lot through this process and will soon be putting together a video of what worked, along with what I would do differently next time.
Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions or suggestions.
I haven't had any luck with getting onto the yahoogroup page so I only get the emails that come through.

Cheers,

Matt
