Rick,
Here's the motor.

It's no kidding on the slow boat from China so I haven't set eyes on yet. Supposed to get it in about 2 weeks. I'm gonna buy an ebike battery to power it for testing the long term goal is a regular solar powered Lifepo4 bank. For your T or L foils do you mount them on the beam as far outboard as possible or is there a wave interference with the ama that makes it better to mount them midway or so? I do like the idea of canting  them to adjust AOA. Will do on the pedal drive.

I will be interested to learn how the electric outboard performs.  Have you a link for it?

The L-foil or T-foil off the side of the stabiliser produces lee helm so it will balance better to take it forward of the centre of effort; in line with the forward beam is probably close to the best location.

The bending loads in the canted T-foil are much less than the bending in the L-foil.  I may yet set up pivoting for my L-foils but that pivot will also suit the T-foils.

Email me direct when you get around to making the pedal drive.  I have mounted mine off the bulkhead at the front of the cockpit.  It gets additional support from the mast post on the other side of the bulkhead.

Thanks Rick. There is enough room in the cockpit of the Woods Strike 15 for your drive. I'm reticent to put an electric drive in it because I know I will capsized it someday. Not planning on going a long way peddling mainly for getting in and out of launching site. I am putting a 48v Chinese outboard in the cat dinghy I'm also building. 1200w and $500 from Aliexpress. It got good reviews from a guy on the electric boat list, hopefully it'll work if not I'll get a Torqeedo. Richard Woods ha! s a daggerboard in the tri drawings. The foils are a way cooler idea. I don't want to have to hike out either. And in St Thomas we have 20 knots plus wind everyday. I assume you have them lined up with the center of effort of the rig? Unless the freight is way high I don't mind getting the whole kit from you although I do have a full shop if necessary. I should be ready for it in about a year, I'll let you know. Here's a link to the tri.
