| The cabin roof alone is 18' long by 7'. The main conic section (actually two blended conics) that makes up the majority of the cabin sides are roughly 2'-8" inches or less in breadth, but they're long, and not square planks, so they'd be done in sections and later joined. Or would you rather I take my chances of infusing a giant punchbowl the size of a two car garage and hope the infusion is problem free? I have more time than I have money. And can you imagine how unwieldy large pieces can be to flip around. I just one couch potato of a guy. And what about the mold for this punchbowl. Doesn't it get "thrown away" as waste too?
I imagine there is something between a 18' x 7' and short sections, right? You don't have to start at 18'x7'. Do a hatch, or a hull half.
After a few infusions, see if you are comfortable. Have you seen the pics of Steiner's 66' infusion? Done above the article circle in a tent shed? You know he did that 4 times, and glued the half's together.
Perhaps the mould is trash. Or perhaps you can reuse it for hulls. But at 7$ a sheet, 18x7 is like ~5 sheets. If that's a big deal, if you infuse 2 half's, you can build a half mould, and use it twice. And that's more wieldy.
But I guess Rob could sort this out quick.
Like, on the E25, you do half hull molds, that you use twice. Or you can do quarter hull moulds, and use them 4 times. That's how Rob rolls.
| I'm not going for a lozenge shape, as you can see. I kinda like the "classic" HP style look, actually.
I think Rob cares not a whit about style. (I mean look at them! Sorry Rob. Its all about the funny) I think the HP's have changed looks in the pursuit of cheap, light, and fast.
There may be wisdom in looking at the reasons for Rob's shapes.
