|But until that time, a solution could be a permanent narrow sled for the motor under the cabin/cockpit, and perhaps another removable drop-down sled/steps next to the leeward hull.  The boarding steps could even fasten to the side of the a flip-up toybox that will live on top of the leeward hull when the boat is collapsed.|

If it's desirable to utilize a single outboard while the hulls are folded in one could engineer the outboard transom to be a module to be transferred from the rear of the tender onto a sled arm. The sled arm would accept the narrow module that's part of the sled that the OB motor is clamped to. The sled arm swings to mount the module on the sled, then swings back to it's propulsion position. Then the remainder of the tender can be trailed by a rope behind a folded HP.

You can run the HP right up to the submerged trailer, untie the tender but the truck in gear and pull the HP up the ramp. The tender can be floated onto the submerged rear end of the trailer and hitch a ride, so no need to lift the tender onto the trailer and break your back.

While at anchor or on a marina ball, the OB module will be left on the sled for ferrying purposes.
