You are right I should not have used the word "competing" but instead "put in perspective to".


Best value is always with respect to the "mission". If I want to sail within three months of ordering a tried and tested trailerable pretty fast boat that keeps its resale value then the Dragonfly makes sense. The Tricat if I'm willing to wait at least double that time for less money and more questionable resale value ...

I was exploring the smaller sizes because that is where the trimaran market is heading. I am not the market.

You are on to something although the weight distribution will work better on larger boats but may be the solution to go narrower for trailerable boats smaller than the EX40.
