Rob,

  Great photos and video!

  My first thought was that the sailing canoe looked like great fun, particularly since the water where I live rarely goes above 18 C.  Sliding along, enjoying the spray, ahhh.  The utter simplicity of a steering oar, and no blocks, winches, clutches, or cleats is nice to see.

  The next thought was that single-handing is basically out.  Man, that thing is a lot of work.  And wet.

  There's something to be said about a bit of tech -- a carbon fiber unstayed mast, 2:1 mainsheet, and kick-up foils with a carbon fiber tiller extension, and you've got a whole new experience.
